- The International Criminal Court denied the interim release of former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte.
- The MalacaƱang has strongly denied the claim of former MECO Chief Silvestre Bello III that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. offered him to run as congressman in Davao City 3rd District. According to Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, he personally confirmed Bello's accusation to the President and he directly denied it. The issue came to light after Bello said in a forum that he was allegedly offered ₱1 billion and a possible Cabinet post in exchange for running against Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab, who is connected to the previous administration.
- House Deputy Minority Leader and Mamayang Liberal Party-list Rep. Leila De Lima is not convinced by the Comelec-Political Finance and Affairs Department (PFAD) decision that Sen. Francis Escudero and his campaign contributor Lawrence Lubiano did not violate the Omnibus Election Code. De Lima believes that the PFAD's investigation into Escudero's receipt of a ₱30 million campaign donation from Lubiano, who is the president of Centerways Construction and Development, Inc., is insufficient.
