- Philippine National Police (PNP) Acting Chief P\Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr. has ordered the intelligence and cybercrime units to identify the individuals or groups behind the alleged bomb threat at the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila campus. Yesterday, UP Philippine General Hospital and UP Manila received two messages claiming that there was a bomb in their buildings.

- The MalacaƱang has strongly denied the allegations of former Ako Bicol Representative Zaldy Co against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., that he ordered the ₱100 billion insertion in the 2025 national budget. According to PCO Secretary Dave Gomez, all the statements made by Co are baseless and are just speculation, especially since the President himself exposed irregularities in flood control projects and promoted measures to hold those involved accountable, recover the stolen funds, and fix the system so that corruption does not happen again.

- Former DPWH Usec. Roberto Bernardo became emotional as he recounted the role of former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan in corruption in the budgeting of projects and the division of commissions on government projects. During the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing, Bernardo tearfully said that he held Bonoan in high regard because he was his mentor and longtime friend.

- A magnitude 4.2 quake hits Policarpio, Eastern Samar.

- The BBC has apologized to US President Donald Trump over the Panorama edit of his speech, but rejects his demand for compensation.

- The UK government says that police and crime commissioners in England and Wales will be scrapped.

- Defunct video-sharing app Vine is now reborn as diVine with funding by former Twitter boss Jack Dorsey. The app plans to bring ten thousand Vine archive videos and will not have generative AI.

- Present F1 teams reaffirmed their commitment to sponsor an F1 Academy livery and driver in the all-female racing series as part of the multi-year agreement. The neophyte Cadillac F1 Team will join the F1 Academy grid in the 2027 season.

- The Subaru BRZ STi Sport Type RA was unveiled. Limited to 300 units, it features STi aero upgrades.

- The first-ever RWD Bentley Continental GT Supersports was unveiled. The 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine produces 657bhp. It will be limited to 500 units.

- The Cupra Leon VZ TCR was unveiled. With the 2.0L turbo engine producing 321bhp of power, it's the most powerful FF Cupra ever made.

- Charge Holdings announces TVR as its subsidiary, reviving the production of the long-awaited next-generation Griffith sports car.

- Ryan Hunter-Reay joins Arrow McLaren for the 2026 Indy 500.

- The new Shutokou Battle game is getting a PS5 version on February 26, 2026.

- Naver Webtoon is joining forces with Warner Bros to co-produce 10 animated shows.

- Upcoming Love Live! Hasunosora Jogakuin School Idol Club single delayed to December 24, 2025, due to allegations about generative AI in the cover art.

- The 2025 KBS Song Festival Global Festival will take place this December 19 at Songdo ConvensiA and will be broadcast on KBS 2TV.
