- Senator Loren Legarda has threatened to block the budget of any agency that will push for the conversion of Antique province into a nuclear energy site. During the hearing of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) budget for the year 2026, Legarda clearly stated that he, along with the provincial government and the people of Antique, is against it and assured the DENR that he will fight and block the funding of the agency that will push for it.
- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that out of 8,000 flood control projects validated nationwide, 421 were identified as 'ghost' projects. According to DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, inspections were conducted by the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) over the past two weeks.
- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that the newly renovated and beautified Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) will be the main venue for the ASEAN Summit 2026 in the Philippines. According to the President, the PICC played a major role in the country's hosting of the summit, and he was amazed at the progress the facility has made after undergoing rehabilitation.
