- A total lunar eclipse will be visible on the 7th or 8th of September, 2025. The entire eclipse is visible in parts of Russia, the western parts of Australia, the Middle East, and almost the entire ASEAN region.

- The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee has cited in contempt two of the 15 contractors who failed to appear at the Senate hearing on the anomalous flood control projects. The Senate is set to issue arrest warrants to compel the following contractors to appear at the hearing.
