- More than 5,000 individuals are still staying in evacuation centers in several towns in Negros Occidental after the eruption of Kanlaon Volcano on Tuesday.

- The MalacaƱang denied reports that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is pushing for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte following the midterm election results.

- The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has issued show cause orders to nearly 40 generation firms to explain their failure to comply with the commission's directive to submit complete documents on oil purchases. The power industry regulator has ordered the generation companies to submit the required documents and a verified explanation within 15 days from the receipt of the show-cause orders.

- China is spotted building a new structure in the East China Sea.

- The sentences of brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez were reduced to fifty years in prison. The new verdict for Erik and Lyle will be the basis for granting them parole, but the process could be lengthy and take many years. The brothers have been in prison for thirty-five (35) years for the murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, on August 20, 1989.
