- According to Philippine Red Cross chairman, Richard Gordon, about two to ten million people will attend tomorrow's Traslacion. The Philippine Red Cross staff have been deployed across Manila ahead of the religious event.

- The Senate Commission on Energy will begin its hearing over the brownout in Panay Island that was triggered in the middle of New Year's Day. The ERC says that the investigation into the Panay Island brownout will finish within 6 to 8 weeks.

- According to Antipolo 2nd District Rep. Romeo Acop, they'll start the probe over the alleged corruption of the Philippines' PUV modernization program, under the order of House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

- Dozens killed in Israeli strike on Jabalia. Witnesses say the IDF hit homes in a densely populated refugee camp in northern Gaza.

- Sheikh Hasina won a fifth term as prime minister of Bangladesh in an election boycotted by the opposition.

- Toyota resumes vehicle production in Japan.

- Volkswagen teases the Golf Mk8.5, the minor change version of the Mk8 Golf, which is said to be the last to be powered by internal combustion. Some say the minor change will ditch haptic touch panels in favor of buttons due to public demand.


- THE IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors TV anime will air on TV Tokyo this April 2024.

- TOEI announced the cast of the 2024 PreCure installment, Wonderful PreCure. The series stars Atsumi Tanezaki as Iroha Inukai/Cure Friendy and Maria Nakagawa as Iroha's dog, Komugi, who transforms into Cure Wonderful. The series airs February 4th.

- The animated Mr. Bean TV series is set to return for its fourth season and it's coming soon to Warner Bros. Discovery platforms.

- Total gross sales for all MMFF 2023 entries reached the one billion peso mark with the movie Rewind hitting 600 million pesos of box office earnings.
