- Former Philippine National Police chief Camilo Cascolan dies at the age of 59.

- 1 Filipino, 12 Thais, and 13 Israeli hostages held in Gaza were freed by Hamas on the first day of the truce. Meanwhile, 39 Palestinian women and teenagers were released from Israeli prisons in exchange.

- 34 people were arrested after "huge destruction from riotous mob" in Dublin, Ireland with 13 shops looted and 11 police vehicles destroyed.

- The third-generation Porsche Panamera was unveiled. The new model is powered by a choice of a 2.9L V6 Twin Turbo for the Panamera 4 variant up to a 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo hybrid powertrain for the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. The Turbo variant is the first to don monochrome Porsche badges.

- At the 2023 Tsuburaya Convention, the Ultraman Darkness Heels project is getting an anime adaption as well as a documentary series tentatively called The Origin of Ultraman with director Guillermo del Toro joining the testimony and the Ultraman Blazar movie hitting theaters this February 23, 2024.
