COMELEC expects a higher voter turnout for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections compared to the previous polls conducted in 2013 and 2018. A 75% voter turnout is expected, according to COMELEC. For this year's BSKE, a total of 91,094,822 individuals will be voting from 42,001 Barangays in 149 cities and 1,485 municipalities. They will cast their votes in 37,341 voting centers with 201,793 clustered precincts with 605,379 members of electoral boards (excluding Department of Education Supervisor Officials and Support Staff).

- PAGASA is monitoring three weather systems as rains will prevail over parts of the Philippines. In its latest weather update, the amihan is affecting Northern and Central Luzon while a low-pressure area was spotted east of Visayas.

- The World Health Organization warns that evacuating the crowded Al-Quds hospital in Gaza "will endanger lives". Aid agencies say it's impossible after Israel's military reportedly warned everyone to leave.
