F1 2023: Lenovo United States Grand Prix

Max Verstappen's officially the three-time Formula 1 world champion but with five races left this season, it's everybody's game now as the F1 2023 season continues with the Lenovo United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas.

As the lights went off, the action in Texas was on with Lando Norris snatching Verstappen's lead, while the two Ferrari drivers and Lewis Hamilton making moves. However, come Lap 7, Esteban Ocon threw in the towel following a collision with another car that damaged the front wing while Oscar Piastri retired three laps later following mechanical issues.

Halfway through the race, Norris and Verstappen are clashing for the lead, only to go by separate ways for pit stops, giving Lewis Hamilton the charge through the lead for a brief number of laps before Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris got him through on Lap 39.

After an intense Texas campaign, Max Verstappen won the US Grand Prix. This marks Verstappen's 50th career win in F1 history and he's a win short of Alain Prost by all-time record standards. Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton stripped off his 2nd-place finish due to a technical breach and therefore handed it over to third-place finisher Lando Norris of McLaren while Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz got promoted to 3rd place while his teammate Charles Leclerc got disqualified as well due to technical breaches.

The next race of the F1 23 season will be the Gran Premio de la Ciudad de Mexico this October 29th.
