2023 Repco Supercars Championship - Repco Bathurst 1000

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship continues with what's known to be the Holy Grail of Australian motorsports, the Repco Bathurst 1000, held at the famous Mount Panorama circuit. Some say this is the Supercars enduro race that matters and it really is. The perfect test for the Gen3 Supercars machines to push themselves beyond their limits.

Jamie Whincup's strong start, a big contact into The Chase that sent Simona De Silvestro out of bounds, a caution-triggering mistake by Kevin Estre, a wheel-to-wheel contact between Wood and Pye, a blown engine for the #8 Camaro race car, and a heartbreak for the #88 Camaro. These are the key moments that occurred during the course of this 161-lap thriller in Bathurst.

After an epic 161-lap drama in Bathurst, the #87 Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaro of Shane van Gisbergen and Richie Stanaway is named the winner of the Bathurst 1000 while the #99 Coca-Cola Racing of Brodie Kostecki and David Russell finished 2nd, and the #11 Shell V-Power Racing Team of Anton De Pasquale and Tony D'Alberto finished 3rd.

Post-Bathurst, Kostecki is leading the drivers' standings with 2447 points, 131 points ahead of SVG.

The next event is the penultimate race of the season, the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 this October 27-29, 2023.
