F1 2023: Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia

The F1 2023 season continues in Monza for the Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia and Max Verstappen prepares to rewrite history as he's gunning for his historic 10-win streak right here on the Temple of Speed.

Before the lights went out, Yuki Tsunoda faced problems starting the car and because of the mechanical issues, Tsunoda retired before the race began.

As the lights went out, the action in Monza begins with Carlos Sainz keeping the lead going into Turn 1 while Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, and Perez are hunting him down. Come Lap 15, Verstappen exposed Sainz's weak point and swoops into the lead. With podium fighters entering the pit lane on Lap 19, Lap 24 saw George Russell getting slapped with a five-second penalty for forcing Esteban Ocon off the track as he came out of the pits.

Come Lap 41, Lewis Hamilton got imposed with a five-second penalty for his collision with Oscar Piastri. As the race nears its climax, Red Bull's on a 1-2 with Verstappen leading and Perez behind him, while the two Ferrari drivers went into a third-placer clash with Charles Leclerc slipping away from Sainz.

In the end, Max Verstappen rewrote history as he achieved a historic 10-win streak this season. Perez finished 2nd and Carlos Sainz finished 3rd.
