F1 2023: Qatar Airways Hungarian Grand Prix

It's The Grand Budapest Race in Hungaroring as the F1 2023 continues with the Qatar Airways Hungarian Grand Prix and Max Verstappen's fully prepared to rewrite history once again. It also marks the return of Daniel Ricciardo as he replaced Nyck De Vries for Alpha Tauri for the remainder of the season.

As the lights went off, the action in Hungaroring has begun with Verstappen slopping past Lewis Hamilton to Turn 1 and leading while Zhou Guanyu collides with the comeback driver Ricciardo at the start and both Alpine drivers Ocon and Gasly are out of the race after colliding at Turn 1 at the start.

As Zhou was slapped with a 5-second penalty, in Lap 8, both Hamilton and Oscar Piastri left the pits with fresh new tires to resume their on-track action. Verstappen remains in the lead after entering the pits for hard tires on Lap 24.

Halfway through the race, the drivers are making bold moves while Verstappen remains in the lead even after another pit stop for fresh new tires. It feels like easy work for the champion.

Max Verstappen rewrote history as his recent victory in Hungary earned Red Bull a record 12-win streak. Lando Norris finished 2nd and Sergio Perez finished 3rd.

The next race of the F1 2023 season will be at Spa-Francorchamps for the MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix this July 30.
