- A magnitude 5.7 quake struck Burgos, Surigao Del Norte.

- The PH FDA has issued a public health warning over lato-lato toys.

- More than a hundred passengers from the burning ship at Panglao, Bohol, have been rescued, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.

- Former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon gave a news briefing as she returned home for the first time since her arrest last week, saying "I am certain I have done nothing wrong".

- The London Metropolitan Police are considering new Partygate footage after the video was published by Michael Gove, one of the Conservative Party staff, at a Christmas lockdown party in 2020. Gove apologized over the lockdown party video.

- The BBC has obtained evidence casting doubt on the Greek coastguard's account of the Wednesday migrant shipwreck that killed at least 78 while the 500 remained unaccounted for. The United Nations has called for an investigation into Greece's handling of the disaster.

- The Uganda army is hunting for the Islamic State-linked militants involved in the school attack that killed about 40 people.

- The Renault Rafale was unveiled. The coupe crossover features a choice of a 200ps E-Tech Hybrid and the 300ps E-Tech 4x4 powertrains.

- The Tokyo Revengers manga series will get a video game this winter as well as a stage musical this November to December.

- The Uncanny Counter's 2nd season will premiere on tvN this July 29th.

- EXO's Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen have reached an agreement with SM Entertainment.

- Netflix's Squid Game's 2nd season will star Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun, joining alongside returning cast Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo.

- Wyndham Clark wins the US Open by one shot for his first career major.

- Rapper Big Pokey dies at the age of 45 after collapsing onstage.
