F1 2023: AWS Gran Premio De Espana

Having moved on from an epic Monaco thriller, the F1 2023 season continues in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the AWS Gran Premio De Espana, and Max Verstappen continues for more dominance in the Catalan battlefield.

As the lights went out, the action in Catalunya is on with Max Verstappen making his first strike, leaving behind the opening drama between Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. Lap 8 saw Lewis Hamilton swooping to third place while George Russell made some bold moves in Lap 11, leaping from 12th to 5th. As Pierre Gasly is pushing hard on Lap 24, Lap 35 saw George Russell gaining to the end of the podium while Lap 52 saw Fernando Alonso overtake Esteban Ocon.

Max Verstappen's dominance continues following his recent win in the Spanish GP while the two Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, finished 2nd and 3rd. Other finishers include Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon, Zhou Guanyu, Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc, and Yuki Tsunoda.

The next race of the F1 2023 season will be the Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada this June 18th.
