- Over 1.2 million records from law enforcement agencies across the Philippines were leaked over the past six weeks, according to a cybersecurity research firm vpnMentor.

- The Department of Information and Communications Technology stressed that the April 26 deadline for SIM registration will not be extended.

- According to the Philippine Coast Guard, the holes from the submerged MT Princess Empress oil tanker in Oriental Mindoro have been sealed. About 10 or 11 holes from the tanker were sealed with help from Japan and the US.

- The Communist Party of the Philippines released its statement ahead of the NDFP's 50th anniversary this April 24th. The communist group will hold a 21-gun salute for Benito and Wilma Tiamzon, both were killed by the AFP in US-directed operations along with 8 others.

- Two teenage boys were charged with murder after the shooting at a 16th birthday party in the US state of Alabama that killed four and hurt 32.

- JLR announced the end of the Land Rover branding and the Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender will become standalone brands joining Jaguar, which is working on a new EV saloon set to be revealed at the end of this year.

- The Boys Over Flowers franchise earned the Guinness World Record title holder for the Most Published Shojo Manga with over 59 million copies in circulation.

- ASTRO member Moonbin was found dead at his apartment in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, according to authorities. The cause of his death is allegedly a suicide. He was 25 years old.

- Golf legend Tiger Woods underwent surgery to address his post-traumatic arthritis in his right ankle that was caused by injuries suffered in a February 2021 car wreck.

- In Game 5 of the PBA Governor's Cup Finals, TNT leads 3-2 after defeating Ginebra at the score of 104-95.
