- The PH Senate slammed the Land Transportation Office's issue of plastic card shortage in the driver's license.

- Thousands of protesters have been gathered in Tel Aviv, protesting against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Supreme Court crackdown ahead of the country's Independence Day.

- An animatronic in Disneyland in California caught fire, causing other Disney parks worldwide to temporarily suspend operations at select attractions. The animatronic dragon caught fire during a nighttime performance of "Fantasmic" at the said park. No one was hurt.

- Aussie comedy legend Barry Humphries, known famously as Dame Edna Everage, passed away at the age of 89.
