- China has said its foreign affairs chief Wang Yi has spoken by phone with his US counterpart Antony Blinken about what it called a Chinese airship floating over the US. China insists it's a platform to conduct weather-related research that's deviated from the root. Beijing has apologized.

- Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted his appreciation after being cleared of fraud charges relating to three tweets from 2018. He was not up at the court when the judge returned a "not guilty" verdict.

- Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro spoke at the Florida crowd that his country is facing a moral and economic crisis following his election defeat last year. He said he would not give up on Brazil but cut short on his return to frontline politics.

- Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has downed his outrageous comments about sexual minorities made by one of his secretaries. In a briefing, Masayoshi Arai said he wouldn't want to leave next door to LGBT couples and warned that people would flee Japan if same-sex marriage were permitted.

- The US judge has overruled an attempt by the Federal Trade Commission to stop Meta from buying a virtual reality content creator called Within Unlimited. The judge rejected the regulator's concerns that the deal will reduce competition.

- Ford announced its return to Formula 1 via a partnership with Red Bull for the 2026 season. It was announced during the unveiling of the new Red Bull F1 car for the F1 2023 season.

- The first-ever F1 Academy all-female driver category series announced the first two drivers participating in the new race series such as Swiss driver Lena Buhler for the ART Grand Prix team and Filipina Bianca Bustamante for PREMA.

- Austin Rivers and Mo Bamba were among the five players involved in a brawl during an NBA match between the Orlando Magic and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Five of them involved in the brawl were ejected from the game.
