- The Court of Tax Appeals has erased Manny Pacquiao's 2.2-billion-peso tax debts slapped by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

-  Grieving parents have placed white roses outside a nursery in northern Thailand, where 38 people, mostly children, were killed by a former policeman.

- The president of Microsoft, Brad Smith, said that the West needs to be vigilant about undersea cables carrying internet traffic. Smith said that cyber defenses went well in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine but warned that cyberattacks might escalate.

- US President Joe Biden warns of a risk of nuclear armageddon on its highest level since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. Speaking at a fundraising event, Biden said he understood that Russian President Vladimir Putin wasn't kidding about using tactical nukes in Ukraine.
