The Grand Tour presents A Scandi Flick

Last year, the boys of The Grand Tour are taking a stab at French cars and launched one in the air. For 2022, the boys are back on a Scandinavian road trip in rally cars. Uh, two rally cars and an Audi to be exact.

The Grand Tour presents A Scandi Flick

HOLD IT! The text below is spoilers. Be sure to watch the entire episode first before coming back here to read it!

In this latest adventure, the boys are on a race against time to race from Norway to an airport in Finland before the plane bound for Britain will leave. They have less than a week to get there. They are driving rally cars on this task, well, two rally cars and an ordinary Audi involved in this trip. Richard Hammond drives a Subaru Impreza WRX V-Limited while James May drives a modified Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, and Jeremy Clarkson, going out of context, is driving an ordinary Audi RS4.

Their Norwegian leg of the trip saw the boys uncovered a ominous-looking cave that they can use it for their speed runs. They've attempted it and this is where James's Evo crashed during the stint. With Clarkson won his silly little game, the two revealed that the cave in question is actually a secret base run by the Dutch military.

Leaving the Dutch military and James behind, the two went to a Swedish village to perform some modifications. Jeremy gave his RS4 the rally car look it needs (not to mention the added flamethrower on it) while Richard gave his WRX a Martini racing livery, which is kinda out of context for a Japanese rally car. The two raced each other on a frozen lake and after their run, James returns and his Evo's still up and running after the crash.

Reunited as a three-some, the boys are stopping by at a Sami hut for some rest and this is where Hammond froze Jeremy's Audi. With the Audi frozen solid, Richard and James are off to continue their road trip while Jeremy was left behind, thawing his Audi by all means necessary.

With Jeremy's back on the road, the trio are hatching a plan that will keep themselves occupied during the trip. They're building towable sheds, which Jeremy and Richard have done it properly while James' shed came from a bus stop. Towing their newly-built sheds, the boys have forced to stop by the night due to the bilzzard. As the blizzard's gone, the boys woke up, knowing that they have stopped in a ski park. Richard's shed was destroyed afted it was being pushed by Clarkson, James's shed was abandoned, and Jeremy's shed caught fire when he accidentally flipped the switch.

With their sheds gone, the boys are on a final push towards an airport in Finland. Due to the draconian Finnish speed trips, the boys are using the frozen lake as a shortcut until James's Evo got submerged to the frozen lake, leaving up to Jeremy and Richard to rescue James and his Evo. After saving James and the Evo but left in doubt that the Evo's presumed dead, Richard and Jeremy are rushing to the airport. The two made it but the question is, is James's coming. He is but it's not the backup Volvo car, it's the Evo! Thanks to the unkillable Evo, the trio have completed the road trip and onboard the plane. They have left Finland but the crew forgot to tell them they're in the wrong plane.

Their Scandinavian road trip is cool as ice for all the wrong reasons but hey, we all love wrong reasons because the boys are always getting into crazy situations for entertainment purposes. But in the end, we all learned a valuable lesson from this messy Scandinavian road trip. Don't know what it is but it's worth fun watching it over and over again just like their past adventures.

This is the end of A Scandi Flick but The Grand Tour will return soon...
