It may be jubilee week in Britain but it's also race weekend and the Rally Italia Sardegna leg of the 2022 World Rally Championship is no exception as drivers like Dani Sordo and Kalle Rovanpera are going all out while the Toyota Gazoo Racing team bids for back-to-back wins on the tough Mediterranean event.
The opening stages saw Thierry Neuville storming into an early lead until Ott Tanak of Hyundai swoops into the top following Elfyn Evan's surrender due to mechanical failures. Although Esapekka Lappi gained a tiny lead after the Friday stages in Italy, his game is over following a crash into Tempio Pausania during the early phase of the Saturday stages. Despite Neuville getting rolled over, he's still into his fighting form while Ott Tanak stormed into the lead.

The next event will be the Safari Rally Kenya in Naivasha this June 23-26.
