The Grand Tour presents Carnage A Trois

Two Grand Tour specials in one year? Oui! After their Scottish misadventures earlier this year, Clarkson, Hammond, and May are back for their latest adventure. This time, they're exposing the flaws of French-made cars.

HOLD IT! The below text is hidden for spoiler reasons. Be sure to watch the entire episode first before coming back here to read it!

Their latest misadventure kicked off with a quick introduction of France as well as the boys' French cars for the trip. Clarkson drives a Citroen CX, Hammond drives a Matra Murena, and May drives a Renault Avantime.

However, the boys are still busy investigating the French stuff such as Hammond drove a Helica while Clarkson ordered the staff to drop the Citroen 2CV from a height. Moments later, on the streets, Hammond tries to park a Renault Scenic while May tries to fit a dishwasher at the back of the Peugeot 407 sedan.

At the fields, the boys are exposing the reason why the French never built a large offroader like the rest of the world. With Hammond in the Scenic, May in the 407, and Clarkson in the Berlingo, they're traversing through the French dirt to prove their point. As expected, things aren't proceeding well. Still, they've made it through alive.

Continuing on their road trip with French cars, the boys imagine what a French car review look like. After that, they've conduct an experiment on how comfortable the Citroen CX's suspension is while defusing a bomb. With the bomb experiment done with three casualties involved in a BMW, they went to Lydden Hill for a race with classic French hot hatches that got interrupted by lunchtime and yellow jacket protests that killed the race director.

With the race ended with the Citroen Saxo, driven by Abbie Eaton, won, the French car mockumentary nears it climax with Clarkson and Hammond checking out the pristine Citroen SM while May is having a miserable time of his life in a Citroen C3 Pluriel. Because the Pluriel is a terrible car, the boys gave it the sendoff it truly deserves by flinging it with a massive catapult. The adventure ends with the Pluriel flinged towards...someone else's house. The end.

The recent special truly exposed the downsides of French cars The Grand Tour way. Although shorter than their previous outings, they managed to ditch common sense with typical Grand Tour hijinks in every way, although the added casualties during the special gave viewers some goosebumps.

Yes, there were a few extras killed in this special such as the three boys in the BMW trying to defuse a bomb and a race director in Lydden Hill as the yellow vest protests broke out in the middle of the hot hatch race.

It may be short in length but it is still fun to watch. This is still The Grand Tour after all.

This is the end of Carnage A Trois but The Grand Tour will return soon...
