F1 2021: Ooredoo Qatar Grand Prix

The F1 2021 season marked the debut of the Qatar Grand Prix in Losail. In their first outing in Qatar, as the climax draws near, the title fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is getting too close to call. Hamilton takes advantage of the pole position and Verstappen's penalty to ensure that the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix belongs to him.

Behind Hamilton and Verstappen's ongoing grudge match on Qatari soil, the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix is not without some mishaps such as Valtteri Bottas' tyre puncture in Lap 34 and the near-climax trouble for the Williams Racing team with Nicolas Latifi out of the race.

Lewis Hamilton wins the Qatar Grand Prix, 25.743 seconds ahead of Verstappen, while Fernando Alonso nicked his first F1 podium in seven years.
