FIA WTCR 2021 - Race of Hungary

With the Race of Italy delayed due to COVID-19 and a reshuffle on the 2021 race calendar, the Hungaroring became their next stop for the 2021 FIA World Touring Car Cup as the drivers are picking up where they've left from Aragon.

In the first race, newcomer Gilles Magnus nailed his first WTCR win after leading the race all the way from pole position. In the second race, meanwhile, Santiago Urrutia became the eighth winner from eight races of the season after leading his Lynk & Co 03 TCR all the way to victory lane.

After all the action at Hungaroring, Yann Ehrlacher leads with 103 points while Urrutia's 2 points behind the leader and Jean-Karl Vernay's in 3rd place with 87 points.

The next event will be at Most for the Race of Czech Republic from the 9th to the 10th of October, 2021.
