FIA WTCR 2021 - Race of Spain

The 2021 FIA World Touring Car Cup continues at Aragon for the Race of Spain leg of the event where two races really made a huge difference for the drivers aiming for the title, no matter the risks laying on them.

So, how did the Race of Spain unfolded? In the first race, Gabriele Tarquini ended his two-year drought with a win by bringing down hometown hero Mikel Azcona while driving a BRC Hyundai N LUKOIL Squadra Corse Elantra N TCR. In the second race, meanwhile, Frederic Vervisch scored his first career win while driving the new Audi RS 3 LMS.

Post-Aragon, Jean-Karl Vernay has an 8-point lead ahead of Yann Ehrlacher, 82 vs. 74, while Yvan Muller sits at third place with 67 points.

The race continues at Adria for the Race of Italy from the 31st of July to the 1st of August, 2021.
