The Supercars' action in the city of Townsville continues with the WD-40 Townsville SuperSprint as the drivers are continuing to make some noise in the city just like what they did last week when Shane Van Gisbergen continues his dominance against the opposition. Three races, 39 laps, this is what the continuation of last week's Supercars action in the city of Townsville is all about, and over the course of the weekend, there have been some intense clashes for the lead that left the world breathless, figuring out what happens next when the end is near.

In the first race, where title rivals Shane Van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup got slapped with time penalties, Cameron Waters has beaten Anton De Pasquale to win the opener. In the second race, meanwhile, the clash of the title rivals roars back as SVG successfully fended Whincup off while Chaz Mostert finished 3rd. And in the final race, the climax clash between SVG and Waters saw the Monster Energy driver trumped the Red Bull hero for the win.

After all the action in the city of Townsville, SVG now has a 276-point-lead ahead of Whincup, 1926 vs. 1650, while Cameron Waters is at third place with 1514 points.

As announced, the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will return to Queensland Raceway on August 21-22 after a COVID-19 delay.
