2021 Repco Supercars Championship - Merlin Darwin Triple Crown

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship continues at Darwin for the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown following the postponement of last month's Winton SuperSprint due to the pandemic. Quite a detour they've done but the three-race action at Darwin is one Father's Day weekend to remember for the fans.

The first race of the event is packed with troublesome events with De Pasquale crashed out on the opening lap, Winterbottom's cruel moment, Van Gisbergen's pit stop drama, and Courtney got penalized over restart procedure breach. Behind all the chaos, Chaz Mostert claimed his second win of the season.

The second race and the final race saw Shane Van Gisbergen made history as his 48th Supercars win matched the record set by the legendary Peter Brock.

Post-Darwin, Shane Van Gisbergen's back on top with 1381 points, 221 points ahead of Jamie Whincup, while Chaz Mostert's in third place with 1131 points.

The next event is the NTI Townsville 500 from the 9th to the 11th of July, 2021.
