- Negotiators from UK and EU are holding what is known to be the final day of talks on a post-Brexit trade deal.

- German Chancellor Angela Merkel announces stricter coronavirus restrictions around the country in the middle of ghe holiday season.

- The Afghan Defense Ministry said over 60 Taliban fighters are killed in fierce fighting against security forces in Khandahar.

- Indonesian authorities arrested a senior member of the Jemaah Islamiyah terror network, who is involved in Bali bombings in 2002.

- Four Azerbaijani soldiers are killed during attacks at Karrabakh.

- Four people are hospitalized with stab wounds after clashes between protesters for and against US President Donald Trump. Involved in the clashes are the far-right groups such as Proud Boys, and leftist groups such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

- Authorities in Northern India have deployed additional security forces en route to Delhi to prevent protesters from approaching.
