FIA WTCR 2019 - Race of Germany

It's the time of the summer again as the world's best drivers gathered at the legendary Nurburgring to take on the ultimate endurance battle in racing history; the Nurburgring 24 Hours. But before that, the WTCR drivers are taking some manly steps on the Green Hell for the Race of Germany leg of the FIA WTCR 2019 season.

In the first of the three-race titan, Norbert Michelisz of the BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse trumped pole-sitter Esteban Guerrieri for the win. Then, in the reverse-grid second race, Johan Kristoffersson scored his first career win following a collision between Rob Huff and Gabriele Tarquini. In the final race, meanwhile, Benjami Leuchter nailed his first WTCR win after leading this race almost all the way from pole position status.

After the thriller at the Green Hell, Guerrieri's lead in the leaderboard remains at 214 points while Norbert Michelisz and Thed Bjork are now ten points apart. 169 over 159.

Next race will be the Race of Portugal at the Vila Real on the 5th to the 7th of July, 2019.
