- Two former Malacanang officials running for senatorial posts, Francis Tolentino and Bong Go, vowed to fast-track two vital legislative proposals aimed at making the country more resilient and prepared for natural and man-made disasters. They have included the creation of the Department of Disaster Resiliency and amendments to the National Building Code of the Philippines part of their legislative priorities in the Senate.

- The Bureau of Customs-Port of NAIA advised air passengers entering the Philippines to properly declare the goods they acquired overseas to avoid being held at the airports.

- The Department of Labor and Employment is bracing for the mandatory repatriation of overseas Filipino workers based in Libya after the Department of Foreign Affairs raised the alert level from 3 to 4 amid the escalation of violence in Tripoli.

- The Trump administration threatens "full and complete embargo" against Cuba for meddling in Venezuela.
