- A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Castillejos, Zambales, according to PHIVOLCS.

- The Department of Science and Technology has launched two 3D printing research facilities in the country, in a bid to surpass other ASEAN countries in the additive manufacturing industry.

- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte appealed to both his political allies and opponents to help the people move out of poverty instead of oppressing them.

- Top Muslim leaders in Sri Lanka demanded “maximum punishment” for the perpetrators of suicide bomb attacks on Christian churches and luxury hotels in the country that left at least 290 dead. The comments came as the government refused to give details of at least 24 people arrested over the Easter Sunday attacks for fear of fanning ethnic tensions. Scores of Christians were among the dead.

- Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev sees "chance for better ties with new Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky. In the first reaction by a senior Russian official following Sunday’s landslide victory for Zelensky, a comedian with no political experience, Medvedev said “there is a chance for improving cooperation with our country”.

- Aston Martin brings back the V12 Zagato by popular demand and it will be limited to 38 units, with the half bearing the new Speedster variants.



- Maho Yamaghuchi, Rena Hasegawa, and Riko Sugahara of NGT48 will graduate from the group while Yuki Kashiwagi of AKB48 also leaves position in NGT48 as well.

- AAA lead vocal Naoya Urata arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman in a convenience store.

- Actor Dingdong Dantes is named the lead actor for the Philippine version of Descendants of the Sun.
