F1 2019: Bahrain GP

Spring is in full gear but the F1 2019 season is still on its opening legs as the Bahrain Grand Prix shows that this season is just getting started with numerous twists and turns in store.

Ferrari newcomer Charles LeCleric could had lead the way thanks to his pole position advantage but sadly, with ten laps left, his reign in Sakhir was short-lived because of engine issues, which sent him to third place, therefore the Mercedes team takes the one-two knockout with Lewis Hamilton winning the race and Valtteri Bottas placed 2nd. Other finishers include Red Bull;s Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel, who got spun during his dogfight with Hamilton, McLaren newcomer Lando Norris, Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen, Pierre Gasly, Toro Rosso newcomer Alex Albon, and Racing Point's Sergio Perez.

Despite losing to third, Charles Leclerc scored a bonus point for setting the fastest lap time of 1:33.411 in Sakhir.

The next race is at Shanghai for the Chinese GP on April 14th. This race marks the 1,000th Grand Prix in Formula 1 history.
