FIA WTCR 2018 - Race of China-Wuhan

The FIA World Touring Car Cup continues in China for the Wuhan race of the event and over the course of the race weekend, looks like a Touring Car legend made history in the drama-packed Wuhan battle.

Starting at Race 1, Jean-Karl Vernany turned his pole position from the qualifiers into a victory as he headed fellow front-row starter Pepe Oriola in his Team OSCARO by Campos Racing Cupra TCR, as Vernay’s team-mate Gordon Shedden overcame Yann Ehrlacher to claim his first podium of the season. Behind the winners' jig, Yann Ehracher's 4th place finish was disqualified after race officials declared he jumped the start at the Wuhan International Circuit.

In the reverse-grid Race 2, Mehdi Bennani fended off Aurélien Comte in the last lap to score his first ever win of his career. And in Race 3, touring car legend Gordon Shedden scored his first WTCR win after an intense battle with Frédéric Vervisch.
