- Senator Antonio Trillanes IV believes that his ordeal cannot be a distraction from the more pressing issues facing the Philippines. Trillanes, in a briefing Friday, said he does not think that the voiding of his amnesty would not divert the public’s attention from the current crises in the country, particularly, the surging inflation rate.

- Meanwhile, the Department of Justice asked another Makati City court to issue a warrant of arrest and hold departure order against Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV concerning his involvement in the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege.
