- Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, chairman of the Senate public order and dangerous drugs committee said that the bombing incident in Sultan Kudarat suggests that the ongoing martial law and Bangsamoro Organic Law cannot guarantee peace in the Mindanao region.

- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is set to sign agreements in the areas of labor, science, defense, and trade and investment during his visit to Israel and the Hashimite Kingdom of Jordan next week, according to the DFA. DFA Undersecretary Ernesto Abella said that Duterte’s visit is aimed to renew and enhance ties with both countries.

- The Office of the Special Prosecutor is opposing the petition for certiorari filed by Senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II before the Supreme Court in relation to the two graft charges he is facing before the Sandiganbayan Second Division.

- A leading candidate in Brazil's presidential election said that police should be given license to kill criminals and those who do should receive medals not face prosecution.Hard-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro said in an interview Tuesday night that he would “leave good people out of range of the shooting” and go at criminals full steam.

- A Hawaii-based soldier pleaded guilty of trying to help the Islamic State group, telling a judge he provided secret military information, a drone meant to track U.S. troops and other support to undercover agents he believed were members of the terrorist organization.

- US President Donald Trump said that White House counsel Don McGahn would soon be leaving his post, a crucial shift as the probe into Russia’s election interference probe closes in on the US president’s inner circle. McGahn, who has advised Trump on dealing with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, also has been interviewed at length as a cooperating witness by Mueller’s team.

- Russian President Vladimir Putin's new presidential limousine is called the Aurus Senat, made by Russia's new luxury car brand Aurus. It is available in short-wheelbase and long-wheelbase and it is powered by a Porsche-developed and turbocharged 4.4L V8 e-hybrid while mated to a 9AT.
