- The longest lunar eclipse of the century has been witnessed around the globe. With totality lasting for an incredible 1 hour and 43 minutes, this eclipse clocked in only 4minutes shorter than the longest possible such event calculated by astronomers.

- Last Thursday night in America, Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney of US President Donald Trump says that Trump knew about in advance and approved the infamous Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer who promised the Trump campaign dirt on Hillary Clinton.

- Disaster hit Japan braces for Typhoon Jongdari as it is seen to make landfall on the country's main island on Saturday night or early Sunday. The storm, currently some 400 kilometers southeast of Tokyo, is expected to barrel towards the western Chugoku region Sunday, where record rainfall earlier this month unleashed flooding and landslides, killing around 220 people.
