Super Formula 2025 - Round 5

This is what every Japanese feared the most. A two-race Formula E weekend set in the streets of Tokyo. The rain-drenched Tokyo ePrix is all about shocking the Japanese audience with intense electric car racing action in the most populous city in the world. A chance for NISMO to prove its worth.

In the first race, Stoffel Vandoorne ended his winless streak by surpassing current season leader Oliver Rowland, with Taylor Barnard, a McLaren driver, finishing in third place. In the second race, Oliver Rowland achieved Nissan's first victory on home turf, further solidifying his position at the top of the driver standings. He outperformed competitors such as Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein and Cupra's Dan Ticktum.

With residents of Tokyo freed from their nightmarish Formula E experience, the championship continues with another two-parter, the Shanghai ePrix on May 31 and June 1, 2025.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series - AdventHealth 400

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series is in Kansas for the AdventHealth 400. This Mother's Day race aims to rock Kansas like a hurricane.

As the green flag waved, NASCAR's Mother's Day race was on. The first stage saw Bubba Wallace slapped with a pass-through penalty for equipment interference while William Byron was experiencing mechanical issues that forced him to pit. With Kyle Larson winning Stage 1, Stage 2 saw a slow stop for Denny Hamlin on pit road. As Larson weathers through Stage 2, the final stage saw the #6 car collide with the wall on Lap 195, followed by a big slide by Kyle Busch.

The final corner incident involving the #7 963 and the #22 BMW M Hybrid V8 is currently under review. Meanwhile, the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 has been declared the winner of this race. In the GTD PRO class, Roxy, driving the #77 AO Racing 911 GT3 R, takes the victory, while the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 secures the win in the GTD class.

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship continues in Symmons Plains Raceway for the Snowy River Caravans Tasmania Super 440. The crowd goes wild for some intense racing action in one of the picturesque parts of Australia.

Broc Feeney dominated the first two races in Tasmania, but in the final race, Matthew Payne barely defeated Feeney with a shocking gap of 0.05 seconds to prevent a weekend sweep.

After the action in Tasmania, the two Red Bull Ampol Racing drivers are leading, with Broc Feeney leading the driver standings with 894 points, 33 points ahead of Will Brown. Matthew Payne of Penrite Racing, meanwhile, is in third place with 819 points.

The next event is the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 this June 6-8, 2025.

The Finals bout between James Deane in his RTR Mustang drift car and Fredric Aasbo in his GR Supra drift car became too close to call; the fans wanted to see it again, not once but twice. After the third attempt, a winner was decided.

James Deane won by unanimous decision against Fredric Aasbo in Atlanta, while Odi Bakchis secured third place.

The next event is SCORCHED at Orlando, Florida, this May 30-31.

NTT IndyCar Series 2025 - Sonsio Grand Prix

The time of year has arrived: INDYCAR is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Before preparing for the big event, the Indy 500, the drivers are getting match-fit on the track's road course for the Sonsio Grand Prix.

Alex Palou delivered another masterful performance at the Sonsio Grand Prix, further solidifying his position in the title race. The first time an IndyCar driver has won four out of the first five races since 2006. He secured the win, with Pato O'Ward finishing in second place and Will Power coming in third. However, the race was not without its incidents; Marcus Ericsson experienced a mechanical issue that caused him to spin out.

With the Sonsio Grand Prix done, here it comes. The INDY 500 is this May 25th, 2025. Are you ready?

FIA WEC S13 - TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

The 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship had a Spa Day, but not the relaxing kind of Spa Day; it's the high-speed thrill kind of Spa Day with the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, where drivers and teams spent a quarter of a day surviving their Spa Day by all means.

Ferrari conquered Spa Day, achieving a one-two finish with the race-winning #51 Ferrari AF Corse 499P and the second-place #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P. The #36 Alpine Endurance Racing car completed the podium by finishing in third place, marking Alpine's best result to date.

In the LMGT3 class, the race-winning #21 and the third-place #54 Vista AF Corse 296 GT3 cars placed around the second-place #88 Proton Competition Mustang GT3.

The next race is a significant one: the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, taking place on June 14-15.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series - Würth 400

The excitement builds in Texas as NASCAR takes over Texas Motor Speedway for the Würth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY. The excitement is palpable with this one.

As the green flag waved, the action at Texas Motor Speedway was on. The first stage saw Denny Hamlin suffer a big mechanical problem, followed by a mix-up on the radio, forcing him to surrender. As Stage 1 ended under caution with Austin Cindric out front, Stage 2 saw some saves from Chase Briscoe and Carson Hocevar while Josh Berry spun and hit the wall. With Kyle Larson taking Stage 2, the final stage witnessed the big one as the drivers of the Nos. 4, 16, 48, and 66 cars were hardest to hit.

F1 2025 - Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix

Formula 1's 75th anniversary celebrations are ongoing in Miami for the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri is leading the Driver Standings for the first time in his career, and McLaren is performing strongly in the Team Standings. Will this success continue as Formula 1 returns to Miami, a city known for its Republican leanings?

It's another 1-2 finish for the McLaren team, with Oscar Piastri the winner and Lando Norris the second placer. Enough to keep Piastri and McLaren's grip in the Driver and Team Standings. Mercedes driver George Russell, meanwhile, completes the podium by finishing 3rd. Other finishers include Max Verstappen, Alex Albon, Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, and Yuki Tsunoda.

The next race for the 2025 F1 season will be in Imola for the AWS Gran Premio del Made in Italy e Dell'Emilia-Romagna this May 18th, 2025.

F1 Academy 2025 - Miami

The streets of Miami are the next stop for the 2025 F1 Academy season. Before the race, guests and racers were treated to a special screening of the upcoming Netflix docuseries, F1: The Academy, coming this late May 2025. 

For the Miami campaign, Ava Dobson is selected as this race's wild car entry, donning the Morgan Stanley-sponsored race car.

The first race saw Mercedes-backed Iron Dame Doriane Pin dominate the Miami track ahead of Alisha Palmowski and Chloe Chambers, who nicked pole position in the qualifiers. Sadly, the Miami leg became a one-race show due to inclement weather. No points will be awarded, though Chambers gained two points for pole position as the final grid had been issued.

The next event of the 2025 F1 Academy campaign will be in Montreal this June 13-15, 2025.

NTT IndyCar Series 2025 - Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix

Alabama's Barber Motorsports Park is the next stop for the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series for the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix. It may be the month of Indy, but the drivers stopped by Alabama to get their match fit for this big Indy month.

Alex Palou won the Alabama Indy Grand Prix to maintain his grip on the driver standings, with Christian Lundgaard finishing second and Scott McLaughlin, who recently obtained his dual citizenship before the race weekend, finishing third.

The next race is the Sonsio Grand Prix this May 10th, 2025, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

The streets of Monaco come alive with the arrival of the GEN3 EVO machines for the two-race Monaco ePrix, part of the 11th season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This legendary venue offers an exciting opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the GEN3 EVO machines in a historic F1 setting. Packed with unpredictable moments, the event promises to be thrilling.

In the first race, Nissan driver Oliver Rowland is the winner, while Mahindra's Nyck De Vries finished 2nd and Andretti's Jake Dennis finished 3rd. In the dramatic final race, meanwhile, Envision's Sebastien Buemi beats Rowland to win the race while Jaguar's Nick Cassidy finished 3rd.

After Monaco, Oliver Rowland leads with 115 points, while Antonio Felix Da Costa and Pascal Wehrlein are just one point apart, with scores of 67 and 66, respectively.

The next event is the two-part Tokyo ePrix this May 17-18, 2025.

Autobacs Super GT 2025 Series Round 2

During the Golden Week exodus, the Autobacs Super GT 2025 Series continues at Fuji Speedway for its second round, featuring a three-hour endurance race where drivers will do whatever it takes to survive and win.

After an exhilarating and intense three-hour endurance race filled with unpredictable moments, the #38 KeePer GR Supra emerged victorious, finishing ahead of the #1 au GR Supra and the #100 STANLEY CIVIC. In the GT300 class, the #6 UNI-ROBO 296 secured victory against the #777 D-station Vantage and the #7 CARGUY 296. This marks the first win for the Ferrari 296 GT3 in the world of Super GT.

The next round is at Sepang International Circuit this June 28th, 2025.

2025 NASCAR Cup Series - Jack Link's 500

After a long Easter break, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series returns to Talladega Superspeedway for the Jack Link's 500. Drivers are going all-out in this oval behemoth by all means.

As the green flag waved, the action in Dega is on. The first stage saw an incident at the entrance to the pit road with Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski badly affected, followed by a collision between Christopher Bell and Chris Buescher. With Kyle Larson winning Stage 1, Stage 2 goes to Bubba Wallace. The climax is long story short.

Finishing with a close-shave margin against the #60, Austin Cindric wins the Jack Link's 500 of the NASCAR Cup Series! Moments after the finish, Ryan Preece and Joey Logano got disqualified following post-race inspection due to spoiler infractions. Kyle Larson is promoted to 2nd and William Byron to 3rd.

The next race is at Texas Motor Speedway for the Würth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY this May 4th.

DTM 2025: Oschersleben

Reviving the DTM for the next four decades, one of Europe’s legendary motorsport series has undergone a makeover. Even with the new DTM logo, the thrilling action remains unchanged. For the 2025 season, the DTM welcomes back Aston Martin and Ford with the Vantage GT3 EVO and the Mustang GT3 race cars. 

With the world’s best drivers and top GT3 machines coming together, the refreshed DTM kicks off at Oschersleben, the first stop of the 2025 season.

In the season opener, Lucas Auer, driving for the Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf, claimed victory by beating Jordan Pepper, the underrated driver from TGI Team Lamborghini, as they headed to victory lane. Maro Engel from Team Winward Racing secured a third-place finish. Later in the weekend, two lesser-known drivers made an impressive impact; Ayhancan Guven of Manthey EMA achieved a narrow victory over Jules Gounon from Team Mann-Filter. Thomas Preining, also driving for Manthey EMA, completed the podium with a third-place finish.

The next race is at Lausitzring this May 22-25, 2025.

WRC 2025: Rally Islas Canarias

The legendary Rally Islas Canarias made a comeback in the 2025 World Rally Championship as the new breed of WRC drivers are going all-out in this new take on the legendary rally event spanning the Canary Islands.

Surviving through Canaria's technical asphalt roads and sweeping mountain passes, Kalle Rovanpera survived his way to victory at a rate of 53.5 seconds over fellow Toyota Gazoo Racing driver Sebastien Ogier. Elfyn Evans completes the podium with 23.6 seconds behind Ogier.

After Canaria, Elfyn Evans is in the lead with 109 points, while Rovanpera is in 2nd place with 66 points, and Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville, following his messy campaign, is in third with 59 points.

The next race is the WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal this May 15-18, 2025.

Oscar Piastri made headlines in Jeddah by beating Max Verstappen to the finish line and snatching Lando Norris' lead by 10 points in the Driver Standings. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc completes the Jeddah podium with a third-place finish. Other finishers include Norris, George Russell, Kimi Antonelli, Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, Alex Albon, and Isack Hadjar.

For the first time since Ferrari's return to top-level endurance racing, the #51 Ferrari AF Corse 499P secured a victory on home ground, triumphing over competitors like BMW and Alpine to achieve a full European Hypercar podium. Meanwhile, the #92 Manthey 1st Phorm 911 GT3 R clinched a narrow victory against the #46 Team WRT M4 GT3 EVO in the LMGT3 class.

F1 Academy 2025 - Jeddah

The F1 Academy 2025 season continues in Jeddah Corniche, which hosts the F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. This race features Farah Alyousef as a wild card entry, adding to the excitement. Meanwhile, the drivers are enduring the intense heat of this Middle Eastern event.

In the first race of the Reverse Grid, Ella Lloyd, a Rodin driver backed by McLaren, achieved her first F1 Academy race win. Emma Felbermayr, another Rodin driver supported by Sauber, finished in second place. Alisha Palmowski, the Campos driver sponsored by Red Bull Racing, rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.

In the second race, Chloe Chambers experienced a penalty that cost her the win, dropping her to second place. As a result, Maya Weug, backed by Ferrari, was promoted to first place. Doriane Pin, the Mercedes-supported Iron Dame, secured the third position on the podium.
