- British lawyer Nicholas Kaufman, the lead counsel of former President Rodrigo Duterte, vows to provide a strong defense in the former president's case.

- Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil assured that he will not allow intimidation and violence to flourish in Maguindanao, especially as the 2025 midterm elections are approaching.

- Senate President Francis Escudero has criticized Kabataan Party-list Rep. - The National Food Authority (NFA) continues to mill rice in the country to decongest warehouses this summer. In Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, NFA Administrator Larry Lacson said that space in warehouses will increase once all the rice is milled.

- Senator Risa Hontiveros revealed that the three Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGO) bosses deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) did not make it to China. During the Senate hearing, Hontiveros identified POGO bosses Lyu Xun, Kong Xiangrui, and Wang Shangle as among the first to be deported by the agency.

- PhilHealth launched its Outpatient Benefits Package for Mental Health to help Filipinos with mental health problems. The new package covers services such as assessments, follow-up consultations, diagnostic tests, and psychosocial support for those who have depression, psychosis, epilepsy, child and adolescent mental disorders, dementia, and self-harm or suicide tendencies.

- The Lotus Emira range was updated for the 2026 model year with the introduction of the Emira Turbo SE model with its AMG 2.0L turbo engine boosted to 400HP, matching the performance of the Emira V6 variant with its supercharged 3.5L V6 engine, but with 44 more torque. Mated to an 8-speed DCT, it has a 182mph top speed.

In the aftermath of the extraordinary tirade, the minerals deal between the US and Ukraine was not signed.

- Skype is shutting down this May, according to Microsoft.

- The 2025 F1 Academy season will reintroduce Reverse Grid races. The structure of the race weekend will remain consistent with that of 2024, featuring up to two Free Practice sessions, one Qualifying session, and two Races. In this setup, Race 1 will utilize a reverse grid format. The starting grid for Race 1 will be determined by reversing the top eight drivers from the Qualifying classification. All other drivers will start based on their qualifying positions.
