Subaru Stella (LA850F)

Many Japanese buyers are eager to get their hands on the new-generation Daihatsu Move, but their closest dealership happens to be a Subaru dealership. Thankfully, the latest Subaru Stella shares many similarities with the new Daihatsu Move. Let's explore this further.

The all-new Subaru Stella starts at 1,523,500 Japanese Yen plus additional costs. Consider this an early birthday treat as the Subaru Stella nameplate is celebrating its 20th anniversary next year. Time flies, huh?

Beginning with the design, the all-new Stella is sharper looking than the previous model, although most people can easily mistake it for a Nissan Dayz of some sort. For the first time, it now features dual-sliding doors, which add conveniences to the Move's easy-living character. Asked about dimensions, it has a length of 3,395mm, 1475mm of width, up to 1670mm of height, and 2460mm of wheelbase.

While there may not be anything particularly unique about driving the all-new Stella, it does offer improved visibility compared to its predecessor. The addition of dual sliding doors makes it easier for passengers to enter through the rear, providing 1,055 mm of rear legroom and a height of 1,270 mm. One of the best features is that the seats can be folded down, allowing for various uses, whether it's for transporting cargo or creating a comfortable sleeping space during a leisurely Sunday drive. It also features multiple storage compartments for organizing items and a USB-C port to charge your devices.

The all-new Stella utilizes the DNGA platform, which accommodates the new model's design, powertrain, and dynamics while balancing its easy-driving character with fuel efficiency. The 660cc KF engine and CVT gearbox, along with the Eco-Idle idling stop system, provide the Stella with a fuel economy of around 22.6 km/L for front-wheel-drive models and 20.6 km/L for 4WD models. The ZS-exclusive turbocharged 660cc KF engine achieves approximately 19.9 km/L (4WD) to 21.5 km/L (2WD), based on WLTC Mode standards.

In addition to its slightly improved dynamics fit for city use, the all-new Stella features Smart Assist, which consists of up to 17 driver assist features, including collision avoidance, driver awareness, and parking assist.

For those interested in the all-new Daihatsu Move but living in a neighborhood where the nearest dealership is Subaru, look no further.

For three decades, the Daihatsu Move has been a staple of every Japanese household, and with this seventh-generation model, the all-new Move promises to be the easiest kei car to live with during these tough times. With its sharp exterior design, dual sliding doors, accessible interior, capable performance, and advanced technology, the Daihatsu Move of the Reiwa era is shaping up to be the gold standard in Daihatsu's own terms.

Toyota Corolla Cross - 2026 facelift

The Toyota Corolla Cross has been around for four years since its 2021 debut on Japanese roads, and as the times demand it, the Corolla Cross was revised for the 2026 model year with the addition of the new GR SPORT variant.

2026 Toyota Corolla Cross
2026 Toyota Corolla Cross

2026 Toyota Corolla Cross
2026 Toyota Corolla Cross

The updated Toyota Corolla Cross starts at 2,760,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs, so what to expect for the 2026 update of the one heavily debated as either a welcoming addition or treason to the Corolla heritage?

Beginning on the front, the 2026MY Corolla Cross features an updated front fascia with a body-coloured honeycomb grille, with the strip joining the headlights now illuminated. The main lamps have been redesigned with available adaptive LED technology and L-shaped daytime running lights framing illuminated “dashes”. At the back, the LED taillights were revamped with a C-shaped graphic and fins. It even features a wide range of revamped wheels to choose from.

The new GR SPORT variant, which wears a Toyota emblem instead of the Corolla emblem on the front, features a massive octagonal lower grille and rectangular outer trims with a 10 mm lower ride height, 19-inch machined Y-spoke alloys, and gloss black logos.

2026 Toyota Corolla Cross
2026 Toyota Corolla Cross interior

Inside, the Corolla Cross features a new, wider centre console, gaining a USB-C port, a Qi wireless charger, a sliding storage box, and redesigned cupholders. It still fits up to five people and the boot space slightly packs more room than its hatchback equivalent, the Corolla Sport, because the Cross is longer and wider than the Sport.

2026 Toyota Corolla Cross
2026 Toyota Corolla Cross

Like the entire Corolla range (sedan, Touring Wagon, and Sport hatchback), except for the GR Corolla, no more petrol variants for this update. For the Z, S, and G variants, it features a hybrid powertrain with the 2ZR-FXE 1.8L petrol engine connected to an electric motor and Li-ion battery for front-wheel-drive and e-Four drivetrains. With up to 140PS of total power and CVT in hand, fuel economy is around 26.4km/L for FF variants and 24.6km/L for e-Four variants.

Exclusive to the GR SPORT variant is the 197 PS 2.0L M20A-FXS hybrid powertrain with e-Four, Li-ion battery, and a 10-speed sequential shiftmatic, delivering 23.3km/L of fuel economy based on WLTC Mode standards.

The Corolla Cross, like its counterparts, performs similarly due to its TNGA platform. The suspension setup varies depending on the variant. Front-wheel-drive models feature front MacPherson struts and rear torsion beams with coil springs. In the E-Four variants, the rear suspension is upgraded to a double-wishbone design. Meanwhile, the GR SPORT variant includes a specially designed MacPherson strut front suspension and a double-wishbone rear suspension, both of which offer improved rigidity. Additionally, it features a 4-level Drive Mode select system with SPORT and SNOW EXTRA modes.

Like last time, the Corolla Cross features Toyota Safety Sense as standard, and with a wide array of safety features, it's hard to say if drivers will trust this Corolla SUV for all the reasons.

Is this what the eavesdroppers of this crossover waited for? The facelifted 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross with its hybrid-only lineup, revamped exterior, revised interior, and the new GR SPORT variant? Hope this ends this conversation frankly, but if you want one, so be it.

Suzuki Jimny Nomade

Never in the 55-year history of the Suzuki Jimny has there been a five-door variant of this world's smallest off-roader—until now. The leader in fuel-efficient cars has decided to make a significant change that hasn't been done to the Jimny in a very long time. Say hello to the first-ever Jimny Nomade, the five-door take on the legend.

2025 Suzuki Jimny Nomade
2025 Suzuki Jimny Nomade

The first-ever five-door Suzuki Jimny, the Nomade, starts at 2,651,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs, and unlike its three-door equivalents, the Jimny Nomade marks the third time Suzuki imported something from India's Maruti Suzuki manufacturing line since the defunct Baleno and last year's Fronx crossover.

2025 Suzuki Jimny Nomade
2025 Suzuki Jimny Nomade interior

To differentiate the Nomade from the Sierra, the extra doors resulted in increased dimensions, and it's not just the increased dimensions that made the Nomade unique; it's the front chrome grille that makes it easy to differentiate. Despite the added dimensions, it's still the Jimny every Japanese offroading addict knows.

As for the interior, it's still pretty much as old-school as all of the previous Jimny generations, judging by its steering wheel integrated switches, a touch-screen sat-nav with smartphone connectivity, a front console box, and USB accessory sockets, but since this is the Nomade, the extra doors made it easier for anyone to get through the rear seats. It's common sense, and then there's the boot space, which is more than doubled in size from the Sierra's 85 to 211 liters. #32 liters with the rear seats folded.

The Nomade still uses the same K15B 1.5L petrol engine from the 3-door equivalent, the Jimny Sierra. It produces 102PS of power and 130Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox gives the Nomade about 15.4km/L of fuel economy while the 4-speed automatic has 14.3km/L, based on WLTC Mode standards.

Being the smallest SUV with a ladder frame, the Nomade's ladder frame features a center cross member and side frame reinforcements slotted above the X member while retaining the body mount rubbers and three-link rigid axle suspension from the Sierra. As a result, the Nomade is a serious, tiny off-roader compared to the Sierra.

The part-time 4WD system is a standard issue, and with the transfer lever, drivers can switch through three different modes, such as running on rear wheels or engaging a low-range four-wheel drive in case of rough terrain coming through. Other features include a steering damper, brake LSD traction control, hill hold control, and hill descent control, giving the Jimny Nomade much-needed feedback that drivers are looking forward to.

The Jimny Nomade is equipped with Suzuki Safety Support, which includes enhanced Highway and Parking safety technologies compared to the Sierra. It also features familiar safety systems such as sign recognition, lane departure warning, front car departure alert, high beam assist, dual sensor brake support, false launch suppression, and more. When these technologies are combined with electronic stability control (ESP), emergency stop signals, six airbags, a TECT body, and various other safety features, the result is a rugged and reliable off-roader that is durable and safe enough to navigate through all kinds of challenging conditions, whether on or off the road.

The first-ever, fully-imported, Suzuki Jimny Nomade showcases the unexplored side of the Jimny in terms of practicality, thanks to the additional doors that made it easier to get through the rear seats while retaining the signature off-roading capabilities you'd expect for the only small SUV in the world with a ladder frame. Welcome to the most accessible Jimny ever made. A Jimny for all off-roading addicts.

Sixth-generation Subaru Forester (SLG/5)

Subaru's best-seller, the Forester, is now in its sixth generation, and this all-new model promises to improve it for everyone, no matter what they require.

2025 Subaru Forester
2025 Subaru Forester

The Subaru Forester SL begins at 4,048,000 Japanese Yen (approximately $40,500) for the turbocharged SPORT variant. The price increases to 4,598,000 Japanese Yen (an estimated $46,000) for the Premium S:HEV EX variant, not including any additional costs. Subaru claims that the sixth-generation Forester has the most advanced technology, a modern design, and improved ride comfort.

2025 Subaru Forester
2025 Subaru Forester

Beginning with the design, the Forester SL features a massive front grille design that merges into the compact LED headlights. It's the first to feature the revised Subaru logo.

While retaining the looks from its predecessors, the new model also dons a more masculine shoulder line, prominent wheel arches, underguards, steep rear glass for better cargo capacity, and improved aerodynamics. Of course, if you need more style for your Forester, your Subaru dealer may offer you some customization packages, such as the Adventure Style Package that proudly spells SUBARU at the front grille, Accent Color Package, and the STi Aero Package, among others.

2025 Subaru Forester
2025 Subaru Forester

While seating is still up to five people, the new interior dons a similar 11.6-inch Subaru STARLINK infotainment system debuted on the second-generation Levorg, which comes with smartphone connectivity. It still packs buttons for the aircon and dials for the volume and radio channels as expected. Mind you, the sat-nav system uses "what3words" to set a destination, which allows users to specify a 3m x 3m area with three words.

Other features include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, power seats, voice recognition, wireless charging port, ETC, Harman Kardon sound system, and others.

Although the wheelbase remains the same as the previous model, the extended length and width should spell a slightly increased room, but in terms of boot space, it's less compared to the previous model. with one liter less with the rear seats present, up to 48 liters less trunk volume roof-high with rear seat folded down. A fault line, the new model possesses.

On the plus side, the all-new Forester features a Subaru-first hands-free power rear gate that automatically opens when you lift your foot under the rear bumper cover. It also features Remote Keyless Access, Tire Pressure Monitoring System with Individual Wheel Display, Steering Responsive LED Headlights with Automatic High Beam, Welcome Lighting, and power door locks, windows, and side mirrors.

2025 Subaru Forester
2025 Subaru Forester

In the SPORT variant, the Forester is equipped with a CB18 1.8L DOHC Direct Injection Turbo engine, which delivers a modest 177 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. It is paired with a Lineartronic CVT that features an 8-speed Manual Mode, offering a fuel economy of approximately 13.6 km/L.

In the X-BREAK and Premium variants, the Forester is the second Subaru model to utilize the S:HEV powertrain, which was first introduced in the Crosstrek last year. This system combines a 160 PS FB25 2.5L petrol engine with an 88 kW MC2 electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, all working in conjunction with a CVT. As a result, the Forester S:HEV achieves an impressive fuel economy of up to 18.8 km/L based on WLTC mode standards.

In terms of dynamics, the legendary Subaru Symmetrical AWD system is further enhanced with Active Torque Vectoring and the SI-DRIVE system. As for steering, it features the same dual-pinion electric power steering rack from today's Levorg and WRX S4 as well. The all-new Forester comes with X-MODE with Hill Descent Control, allowing drivers to traverse through tarmac, gravel, or snow at ease.

The all-new Forester is equipped with Subaru's award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes a first-in-class feature called Emergency Stop Assist. This feature activates if the driver becomes unresponsive to warnings while using Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control. It stops the vehicle, activates the hazard lights, and unlocks the doors to ensure safety.

Additionally, the new Forester is the first Subaru model to incorporate a pedestrian protection airbag specifically designed for cyclists. If a collision occurs with a pedestrian or cyclist, this airbag deploys to cover the vehicle's hard parts. Its design extends to the rear of the front pillar, making it effective for protecting cyclists whose heads are positioned higher.

In summary, the all-new Subaru Forester SL may offer less space compared to the SK model, but it comes with a choice of S:HEV and turbo powertrains, impressive styling, and enhanced safety features. Notably, it is the first vehicle to include a pedestrian protection airbag specifically designed for cyclists. This makes the Forester well-suited for today’s needs.

Genesis GV60 (2026MY Minor Change)

The Genesis GV60, the most luxurious of the E-GMP crossover trio—comprising the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the Kia EV6—has undergone a minor update for the 2026 model year. While its arrival may be considered somewhat delayed, it's worth exploring the details of this recent facelift.

2026 Genesis GV60
2026 Genesis GV60

2026 Genesis GV60
2026 Genesis GV60 interior

The Genesis GV60 has undergone a minor update, with a starting price of 68,360,000 Korean Won (approximately $70,000), in addition to any extra costs. This facelift serves as a reminder of what makes the Genesis original EV crossover an excellent blend of style and performance.

Beginning with the styling, the GV60 minor change features a revised front face that looks like it's feeling under the weather, but it's made to make it more city-oriented because the arches, the front chin, side skirts, and the rear skid plate are now in body color. The headlamps were revised to feature Micro Lens Array and 14 LEDs per side. The rear view is slightly revised, and it now features new 21-inch alloy wheels.

While retaining the GV60's signature Crystal Sphere that hides the rotary gear selector, the revised interior features a new steering wheel design as well as a new 27-inch panoramic screen that combines both the virtual instrumental panel and the infotainment touch screen on the dashboard.

As told from the day it was launched, the GV60 is almost as spacious as a Tesla Model Y in terms of passenger comfort and boot space, and although it is small for electric crossover standards, it's still sensible enough to accommodate up to five people and carry heaps of stuff for work or for another courtesy visit to the relatives.

The GV60 is offered with a choice of Standard RWD, Standard AWD, and Performance AWD. Both are armed with the 4th-generation high-voltage battery with 84kWh capacity. In the lesser variant, it has a range of 481km in one full charge and can take up to 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% while charging at a public charging station.

Opted for the Performance AWD powertrain, it comes with the Boost Mode located at the steering wheel. Push it on and you'll have 360kW of power and 700Nm of torque at your disposal. You can also engage the secret Drift Mode to give the GV60 the dynamics of a rear-wheel-drive car you can't get enough of.

The GV60 incorporates several advanced technologies, including the e-LSD, Active Road Noise Control, Regenerative Braking Control Paddle Shift, and Preview Electronically Controlled Suspension. These features help the vehicle adapt to the changing road conditions of today. While the rear-wheel-drive model offers a satisfying driving experience on urban streets, the all-wheel-drive variant excels in various environments, particularly when equipped with Drift Mode on the track—though some might find that a bit over the top.

In terms of safety, the GV60 includes the Digital Side Mirror and a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. Key features include Highway Driving Assist 2 with Lane Change Assist Control, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear-Side Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear-Side Monitor, a Multiple Anti-Collision Automatic Braking System, Reverse Guide Lamp, Intelligent Headlamp, Safe Exit Assist, Advanced Rear Seat Passenger Notification, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

The updated GV60 has undergone a facelift, refreshing the E-GMP crossover lineup. However, until the launch of the more powerful version inspired by the GV60 Magma Concept, the current model is the more expensive and less powerful option compared to today's Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6. Still, whether you like it or not, for tech or for performance, for ecology or for pleasure, the GV60 is all about being the best of both worlds.

Available Colors: Uyuni White, Seville Silver, Makalu Gray, Beak Black, Stor Green, Capri Blue, Ceres Blue, Tromso Green, Matterhorn White, Makalu Gray Matte, Stor Green Matte, and Ceres Blue Matte.

Toyota Crown Estate (H38W/H39W)

The introduction of the all-new Toyota Crown Estate completes the quartet of Crown models, which includes the Crown Crossover, the Crown sedan, the Crown Sport, and this one. Now, let's get to know the last addition to this lineup.

2025 Toyota Crown Estate
2025 Toyota Crown Estate

The all-new Toyota Crown Estate starts at 6,350,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs. The final entry of the Crown quartet of models is obviously the most spacious, even though it isn't really an Estate, it's a posh crossover that's about as big as the Harrier.

2025 Toyota Crown Estate
2025 Toyota Crown Estate

Let's start with the exterior styling. The Crown Estate is a luxury crossover comparable in size to the current-generation Harrier. It features the latest Crown logo, similar to the rest of the lineup, but it showcases the signature Toyota design that has been inspired by Ferrari. From the rear, the vehicle's appearance could easily be mistaken for an RAV4, a Harrier, or a Corolla Cross. As they say, it's all part of the family.

2025 Toyota Crown Estate

2025 Toyota Crown Estate
2025 Toyota Crown Estate interior

Similar to the entire quartet, the Crown Estate's interior embraces a minimalist approach. The driver's side features advanced technologies such as T-Connect, smartphone connectivity, voice control, a heated steering wheel, and a digital rearview mirror, among others.

The Estate, being the most spacious option among the Crown quartet, offers 570 liters of luggage space with the rear seats in use and 1,470 liters when they are folded down. It also features a brand-new luggage space extension board mechanism, which allows for a completely flat space of two meters in length when the rear seats are retracted—a first for Toyota vehicles.

2025 Toyota Crown Estate
2025 Toyota Crown Estate

The Crown Estate is available with two electrified drivetrains. The hybrid Z variant features a 2.5L A25A-FXS Dynamic Force petrol engine paired with two electric motors, producing a total power output of 243 PS. It comes equipped with a nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery and an e-CVT gearbox, promising a fuel economy of 20.3 km/L based on WLTC Mode standards.

On the other hand, the plug-in hybrid RS variant utilizes the same 2.5L A25A-FXS petrol hybrid engine as the standard hybrid. However, it is enhanced with powerful electric motor generators, a new lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery mounted under the floor, and an improved heat pump HVAC system, delivering a total power output of 306 PS. This variant also features a CVT gearbox and achieves a combined fuel economy of 20 km/L according to WLTC Mode standards, along with an electric-only driving range of 89 km. That's more efficient than what you get from one of its main rivals, the Mazda CX-60 with e-SKYACTIV PHEV.

Similar to the other Crown SUVs in the lineup, the Crown Estate is built on the TNGA-K platform. Although it is only available with four-wheel drive, its driving experience can be somewhat comparable to that of the Audi Q5. This platform makes the ride less sporty, but it does provide a relaxed driving feel, reminiscent of a leisurely Sunday afternoon, thanks to its front MacPherson struts and rear multilink suspension.

With an emphasis on safety as a key priority, the Crown Estate comes equipped with advanced safety features, including the latest Toyota Safety Sense. This system includes up to 12 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) features. Additionally, it offers the innovative Toyota Teammate advanced driving system, which includes Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist. These technologies enable the crossover to perform semi-autonomous driving, allowing it to navigate busy roads like the Shutokou with ease.

Although the Crown Estate is a treason to the Crown heritage, like the Crossover and Sport variants, it is all about space, luxury, and efficiency in the name of common sense. With the Crown lineup of models officially complete, it's hard to decide which variant is the wisest, but if you're interested in space, the Estate is the best bet. It's misleading by name, but it's a serious, posh crossover fit for all walks of life.

KGM Musso Sports and Musso Khan

Formerly known as the Rexton Sports, the currently sold pickup trucks from KGM are now renamed as KGM Musso Sports, and its longer version, the KGM Musso Khan, evokes the spirit of Korea's first pickup truck.

2025 KGM Musso Sports

The new Musso Sports pickup truck costs 29.52 Million Korean Won while the longer version, the Khan, costs 31.72 Million Korean Won plus additional costs.

Although they look similar compared to the Rexton Sports range they've replaced, both the Musso Sports and the Musso Khan don a tougher-looking grille lifted from the old Rexton Sports Culmen model while the rear view mimics the one from the old Ford F-150 Raptor. Long story short but it's all in the name of keeping the Musso spirit alive.

2025 KGM Musso Sports
2025 KGM Musso Sports interior

Unlike its Rexton Sports predecessor, the Musso range features a heavily revamped interior lifted from its SUV equivalent, the Rexton New Arena. Behind the wheel, it features an available 12.3-inch digital cluster, an available 12.3-inch KGM LINK navigation system, an available dual-zone full auto air conditioner, and an assist grip, among others. Although good for up to 5 people, the Musso Sports' rear bed can accommodate up to 1,011 liters of space and 400kg carrying capacity while the Musso Khan can accommodate up to 1,262 liters of space and 500kg carrying capacity. 700 if you have the Power Lift Suspension exclusively available for the Khan.

2025 KGM Musso Khan
2025 KGM Musso Khan

The Musso range continues to use the LET 2.2L turbo diesel engine, which has been updated to deliver 202 PS of power and 45 kgf-m of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters, providing a fuel economy of over ten kilometers per liter.

Both variants perform well on and off the road due to their part-time 4WD system and five-link dynamic suspension. However, the KHAN model stands out as the superior choice, thanks to its available Power Lift Suspension, which allows it to carry up to 700 kg in the bed. This capacity exceeds that of the Toyota Hilux.

As always, the Musso range comes ready with some safety tech such as Brake Assist System, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, and many others, standard and optional alike. When opting for some Smart Driving Package, you can have Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Blind Spot Detection.

The Musso Sports is back. Offroaders in Korea, rejoice.

KGM Musso EV

The Musso has returned, but not as expected. The name familiar to 90s kids who grew up with their parents driving that vintage off-roader is now revived as the first electric vehicle (EV) pickup truck made in South Korea.

2026 KGM Musso EV
2026 KGM Musso EV

Starting at 48,000,000 Korean Won, plus additional costs, the first-ever KGM Musso EV may not be the revival that off-road enthusiasts were hoping for. However, it is high time that South Korea introduced an all-electric pickup truck, a venture that almost no one along the Silk Road has dared to undertake, not even the Europeans dared to make an EV pickup of their own.

2026 KGM Musso EV
2026 KGM Musso EV

Starting with its exterior, the Musso EV is a pickup version of the Torres EVX, particularly in its front design and overall dimensions shorter than the diesel-powered Musso truck range (previously known as Rexton Sports). Although it is similar in size to the Torres EVX, the Musso EV features the rhino badge on the side and the rear prominently displaying "KGM." Additionally, it is equipped with distinctive X-shaped taillights.

2026 KGM Musso EV
2026 KGM Musso EV interior

Inside, the Musso EV showcases its futuristic convenience for both the driver and passenger in its hot seat. On the driver's side, it's packed with the 12.3-inch digital cluster powered by the Athena 2.0 platform, a 12.3-inch KGM Link navigation & integrated controller, and ambient lighting, among others. Some would find it tricky to get a hold of its controls because everything from infotainment to climate control is operated via its touch screen.

On the passenger side, the second-row seats feature a 60:40 split-folding, three-step sliding, and reclining seat cushion function. A fire extinguisher and emergency triangle are placed on the back of the second-row seats.

The rear bed may be the smallest for an EV pickup but it's packed with a deck divider and an LED deck room lamp for organization purposes. It's good for up to 500kg of cargo, the same as the diesel-powered Musso Khan (formerly Rexton Sports Khan). That said, KGM offers a wide selection of accessories for the Musso EV such as rails and a canopy.

2026 KGM Musso EV

The vehicle is equipped with a BYD-derived LFP blade battery with a capacity of 80.6 kWh, enabling its 152 kW front motor to achieve an approximate driving range of 400 km. In the 4WD variants with its self-leveling system for better stability, while carrying goods at the back, the addition of a second motor boosts the total power output to 413 PS, making it the most powerful production vehicle in the KGM lineup. Additionally, it has a maximum towing capacity of 1.8 tons.

Underneath, the Musso EV is packed with front MacPherson Struts, rear independent multi-link suspension, and ventilated disc brakes. In its front-wheel-drive configuration, there's nothing special about driving one, but in its 4WD configuration, what can I say? Tarmac, gravel, or snow? Your guess is as good as theirs.

The Musso EV is packed with numerous safety features such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Intelligent Speed Control (ISA), Automatic Lane Change Function, Forward Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Warning, Backward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Safe Distance Warning, Smart High Beam, Front Vehicle Departure Alert, and Careless Driving Warning.

The arrival of the first-ever KGM Musso EV is a remarkable achievement that few along the Silk Road have attempted. In fact, even Europeans have yet to produce their own electric pickup. While it may be smaller than its diesel-powered counterparts, it stands out in a league of its own.

Hyundai IONIQ 9

The first-ever Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV completes the IONIQ trilogy of electric cars and it's the flagship EV SUV of the Hyundai lineup. Let's get to know more about the top of Hyundai's electric food chain.

2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9
2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9

With prices starting at 67,150,000 Korean Won plus additional costs, the first-ever Hyundai IONIQ 9 can be rudely called the Palisade of Hyundai EVs. While identically sized to the Palisade, the IONIQ 9 is a zero-emission business class on all four wheels that takes a different approach to "touring."

2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9
2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9

Like its IONIQ siblings, which draw inspiration from their respective concept vehicles—the IONIQ 5 from the 45 Concept and the IONIQ 6 from the Prophecy Concept—the IONIQ 9 takes cues from the Seven Concept. While the design, inspired by the concept, is a standout feature of the IONIQ 9, the rear view is somewhat puzzling, as it may evoke memories of various Volvo wagons from the past.

2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 interior

Inside, the IONIQ 9 is everything you expect for a flagship EV SUV. From the driver's side, you'll be greeted by the braille-written steering wheel that became a signature for today's Hyundai models, a panoramic curved display that features a 12.3-inch instrumental display, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment purposes, buttons and knobs for the aircon and radio, ambient lighting, and a glove compartment underneath the center console, among others.

On the passenger side, the IONIQ 9 offers a choice between a 6-seater and a 7-seater. The cargo space accommodates from 620L (with rear seats up) to 2,462L (with all passenger seats folded down), while the frunk provides from 52L (for 4WD models) to 88L (for 2WD models). Notably, the six-seater variant features a unique asset that no luxury people mover possesses, not even today's Toyota Alphard: swiveling second-row seats.

2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9
2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9

Armed with the E-GMP platform and a 110kWh li-ion battery, rear-wheel-drive variants of the IONIQ 9 have 160kW of power and 532km of driving range while the range-topping variant with H-TRAC all-wheel-drive system has 315kW of power and 501km of driving range.

Despite being somewhat bulky, the IONIQ 9 offers a luxurious experience comparable to any premium SUV you can think of. It serves as a well-organized cruiser, perfect for touring South Korea's upscale destinations, including the stunning location dubbed "Paradise" by Singles' Inferno. Equipped with H-TRAC, it features an Auto Terrain Mode that automatically adjusts its capabilities for various surfaces, whether tarmac, gravel, or snow. While it may not match the quality of a Range Rover, it is still quite impressive.

In terms of safety, the IONIQ 9 comes loaded with the latest Hyundai SmartSense technologies. These include high beam assist, Highway Driving Assist 2, navigation-based smart cruise control, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist 2, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, among others.

The arrival of the first-ever IONIQ 9 completes the IONIQ trilogy of electric cars. With its SUV ruggedness, luxury sedan-riding comfort, award-winning EV powertrain, and premium features that can upset European imports, this is Hyundai's opulent expression of zero-emission touring. This is common-sense business class the Hyundai way. Any questions?

Kia EV9 GT

Kia has been releasing some exciting new vehicles lately, and none is more noteworthy than the EV9 GT. This SUV doesn't need much introduction because it truly speaks for itself. As the most powerful three-row Kia SUV ever made, the EV9 GT sets a high standard for the brand. So, what makes Kia's latest heavyweight champion so remarkable?

2026 Kia EV9 GT
2026 Kia EV9 GT

With prices starting at an ultra-expensive 88,490,000 Korean Won plus additional costs, the Kia EV9 GT is the most powerful three-row Kia SUV ever made, a statement that can rattle the Western establishment with style and power in this brave new world.

At first glance, it looks identical to the lesser and basic EV9 GT-Line judging by its sporty exterior credentials that add some macho flair to this flagship EV SUV. Still, to make sure that this is the GT variant, it's been given proper GT badges, GT-signature lime brake calipers, and unique 21-inch wheels.

Inside, the EV9 GT adds a GT button on the steering wheel, GT-specific instrumentals, an exclusive performance timer, lime stitching, on all seats, 2-row premium relaxation seats, and front Alcantara premium sports seats, among others. This six-seater EV SUV is all about keeping its luxury status while going balls out on a track day in Inje or Yongin.

2026 Kia EV9 GT
2026 Kia EV9 GT

Powering the EV9 GT is a 99.8kWh battery pack powering its dual-motor setup. It unleashes 509PS of power output and 740Nm of torque, sprinting from a 0-100kph time of less than four and a half seconds and a top speed of 220kph. That sounds fast for a heavyweight EV SUV that can last for over 400km on one full charge and it gets even more interesting because for show-off purposes, the EV9 GT is armed with its signature Virtual Gear Shift and electric Active Sound Design. It even comes with the same e-LSD from the EV6 GT, which helps with cornering stability by limiting wheelspin to the tires with less grip while torque is electronically routed to the tires with more traction.

The EV9 GT comes with a driver-selectable electronic control system (ECS). Accessed via the Drive Mode button on the steering wheel, the driver can select three different driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport. There's even a My Drive mode where drivers can personalize the EV9 GT's driving style judging by the shock damping, steering, and brake feel.

As expected, the Kia EV9 GT offers a wide array of safety features, including high beam assist, Highway Driving Assist 2, navigation-based smart cruise control, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist 2, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Parking Collision Avoidance Assist.

Being the most powerful three-row Kia SUV takes guts to be one and this new heavyweight fighter is Ssireum on all four wheels. Trying to wrestle with this EV SUV on a track day is a challenging feat but for cruising, it feels like a normal EV9. Love it or hate it, the EV9 GT is the beast of Kia's SUV lineup and although silent, it demands respect.

Kia Tasman

Last year, the Kia Mohave may have been killed off, but it wasn’t in vain. From its remains came the Kia Tasman, the brand's first-ever pickup truck. The Mohave was a true off-road luxury SUV that made good use of a body-on-frame structure and a diesel V6 engine. But that was before its sad demise. Now, a new generation can experience the Tasman, which makes full use of the Mohave’s best features.

2025 Kia Tasman
2026 Kia Tasman

The first-ever Kia Tasman is a pickup truck that competes against the best midsize pickup trucks from across the Pacific Rim. Starting at 37,500,000 Korean Won, the Tasman was born from the remains of the Kia Mohave, which, sadly, was no longer in production.

Let's begin with the exterior design. Although the muscular exterior design bears nothing in common with the entire Kia vehicle line-up of today, one hard look and they can be easily fooled into thinking that it is a Jeep Gladiator, which is one of the Tasman's chief rivals.

Similarly sized compared to the now-defunct Mohave, its squarish design makes a huge statement for customers, thinking that the Tasman is the ideal building block of their everyday needs, come business or leisure.

Customers can customize the Tasman with various gear to meet their adventurous needs. Options include bed rails, a canopy, or both. Additionally, you can choose configurations with a roof tent or overland gear.

In contrast to its macho exterior styling, the Tasman boasts a luxurious interior featuring a 12.3-inch + 5-inch + 12.3-inch panoramic widescreen technology, haptic switches for the sat-nav, switches for the volume, climate control, and hazard lights, door handles with rollers, folding console table, column-type gear lever, and secret compartments under the second-row seats, among others. Rear-wheel-drive variants can carry as much as 700kg of bed space, while 4WD variants, especially the X-Pro variant, can carry up to 400kg.

2026 Kia Tasman
2026 Kia Tasman

The only engine that powers the Tasman is a Smartstream G2.5 Turbo GDI engine that produces 281PS of power and 43 kgf-m of torque. Mated to an 8-speed AT, it does 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds and onwards to 185kph. As for fuel economy, rear-wheel-drive variants get up to 8.6 kmpl while 4WD variants get up to 8.1 kmpl. Towing capacity is up to 3,500kg.

Manpower pushed the Tasman through the extreme limit to demonstrate its cross-country abilities while tackling scorching sands and blizzards. In response to such demanding elements Mother Nature can throw at it, the Tasman features the tried-and-tested X-Pro variant that features increased ground clearance and standard 4WD. In addition to three driving modes, ECO, Smart, and Sport, the X-Pro adds Rock, Sand, Mud, and Snow. It even comes with a rear Electronic Locking Differential, an X-Trek Mode which enables the Tasman to maintain a low speed off-road without the need for manual acceleration or braking, and the ultra-handy Ground View Monitor.

In addition to the Ground View Monitor, trailer assist, and the trailer brake controller, the Tasman packs a wide range of ADAS, such as lane keeping assist, blind spot collision warning, and remote parking assist through Highway Driving Assist 2.

The all-new Kia Tasman pickup truck inherits the body-on-frame design from the now-defunct Mohave luxury SUV and boldly ventures into uncharted territory for the Kia brand. With the rogue gallery of midsize pickup trucks from across the Pacific Rim in its crosshairs, the Kia Tasman is a worthy contender in its class and looks like it's on a roll.

Those who are interested in a proper off-roader from Kia can look no further because the Tasman has arrived.

Toyota GR Corolla (2025MY Minor Change)

For the 2025 model year, Toyota's super hot hatchback, the GR Corolla, has received a much-needed change that promises to make observers burn with jealousy. This update promises to be better than before.

2025 Toyota GR Corolla
2025 Toyota GR Corolla

Now starting at 5,680,000 Japanese Yen plus additional costs, the Toyota GR Corolla minor change has more oomph than the first time the world encountered Toyota's super-hot hatchback hero, which became the spectacular antithesis of the Corolla lineage.

2025 Toyota GR Corolla
2025 Toyota GR Corolla interior

The exterior design resembles the pre-facelift model; however, it now includes the new front bumper design introduced in last year's facelifted GR Yaris. This updated design replaces the fog lamps with larger corner air inlets to improve cooling capacity. The interior remains similar to the previous model, but it now features a darker finish on the trim and switches for a sportier appearance.

Customers can choose the SPORT Package, which includes black and red seat upholstery with red perforations, as well as synthetic leather featuring black and red stitching.

2025 Toyota GR Corolla
2025 Toyota GR Corolla

The updated GR Corolla still has the G16E-GTS 1.6L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 304PS of power but 30Nm more torque than before, producing 400Nm of torque. In addition to the updated 6-speed manual gearbox, the GR Corolla can now be equipped with the available 8-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic Transmission. No matter which gearbox you're on, the GR Corolla packs a power-to-weight ratio of 6.7kg/kw.

Asked about the fuel economy, the manual variant has 12.4km/L while the new automatic variant has 10.4km/L based on WLTC mode standards.

The team at Toyota Gazoo Racing dedicated valuable manpower to recalibrating the GR Corolla, drawing on their experience from the Super Taikyu Series. As a result, the updated GR Corolla features improved dynamics, including increased rigidity through additional braces and bolts. This enhances vehicle stability during acceleration and control while turning, as well as improves steering responsiveness. Additionally, the sport-tuned suspension and brakes contribute to a more exhilarating driving experience.

The GR Corolla is equipped with the signature GR-FOUR Active Torque Split 4WD System, featuring a Torsen Limited Slip Differential (LSD) for improved cornering and stability on various surfaces, including tarmac, gravel, and snow. When the car is set to Track Mode, its dynamics become more engaging, resembling those of the GR86 or GR Supra.

Additionally, the Drive Mode Select feature allows you to choose a driving mode that suits your style. One notable option is the secret EXPERT MODE, which can be activated by selecting either SPORT or CUSTOM mode and briefly pressing the VSC OFF button. EXPERT MODE is specifically recommended for track use, so use it wisely.

As a general rule, the GR Corolla is limited to a top speed of 180 kph on normal roads. However, when you arrive at the circuit, you can activate Circuit Mode, which disables the speed limiter and provides special instrument displays, including engine RPM and LED indicators.

With a slightly new look, improved torque, an upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission option, and enhanced dynamics, the minor changes to the Toyota GR Corolla make it even better than before. These improvements are sure to appeal to performance enthusiasts who have a desire for speed. This is the GR Corolla that the world wants, so don’t look back.

Hyundai Palisade LX3

Hyundai's flagship SUV, the Palisade, has entered its second generation, and it's officially the most luxurious in its class. It promises luxury SUV things without the luxury SUV pricing. It looks like the Korean carmaker's going premium with this one, although the timing's bad due to...well, you know what happened.

2025 Hyundai Palisade
2025 Hyundai Palisade

The all-new Hyundai Palisade aims to deliver world-class luxury at an affordable price. With a starting price of 43,830,000 Korean Won, this SUV is a bargain for its class.

2025 Hyundai Palisade

Hyundai has truly excelled in the design of the Palisade LX3. While it might resemble a modern Range Rover at first glance, it features distinctive boot-shaped front lamps and taillights for added flair, along with a striking grille that has an illuminated top. When parked next to a Range Rover, the similarities are hard to ignore, but on the bright side, the all-new Palisade serves as an affordable alternative to a Range Rover.

2025 Hyundai Palisade
2025 Hyundai Palisade interior

2025 Hyundai Palisade

Now, let's get to know the new interior. On the driver's side, it dons the familiar steering wheel with braille symbols in the middle just like today's Hyundai models as well as the gear lever positioned behind the steering wheel, paddle shifters, a Panoramic Curved Display with AI assistant, ambient lighting, fingerprint authentication system, BOSE Premium Sound System, and for user-friendliness, buttons and knobs for the radio and climate control. The front passenger seat, meanwhile, sports a legrest reminiscent of the Nissan Teana from a distant past.

Although the Palisade LX3 is offered in a seven- or nine-seater variant, the seven-seater variant is credited with the Palisade LX3's premium luxury status thanks to the second-row seats that come with the available massagers. You won't find that in the Chevrolet Traverse.

Regarding boot space, with all seats present, it can carry up to 317 liters of goodies. With the third-row seats slid forward, it's now 348 liters. Fold the passenger seats down, and you can expect roughly four times the boot space for more.

2025 Hyundai Palisade
2025 Hyundai Palisade

Unlike the previous model, the Palisade LX3 is now powered only by the Smartstream G2.5T engine, which produces 281PS of power and 43kgf-m of torque. Mated only with an 8-speed AT, the front-wheel-drive variants' fuel economy is around 9.7km/L. The Palisade Hybrid uses the same engine, but with the added 54kW electric motor and 6-speed automatic.

The Palisade is a sizable yet refined crossover that offers a luxurious driving experience for daily use. With the optional H-TRAC all-wheel drive system featuring an off-road driving mode, it comes close to the Range Rover in terms of aesthetics. Additionally, the all-new Palisade is equipped with a preview electronically-controlled suspension, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to various driving conditions, whether on tarmac, gravel, or snow.

The Palisade LX3 features a host of safety features, ranging from the hallmark Hyundai SmartSense, the Digital Center Mirror, the Built-In Cam 2 Plus, the Surround View Distance Display, the second-row safe exit indicator, seat belt pre-tensioner, 10 airbags, and so on.

The all-new Palisade has it all: looks that mimic today's Range Rover, lights that kick, a luxurious interior, numerous high-tech features, and a turbocharged 2.5L petrol and hybrid to match its status. It really is a world-class luxury SUV without the luxury price tag, making it the bargain of the season. It doesn't stick to the status quo; it just rewrites it fair and square.
